The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has selected Washington and Jefferson College as one of 25 universities nationwide to participate in this year's 2012 Campus Week (October 1st - October 5th), with the theme "Think Transatlantic--The US and Germany in the 21st Century" (see http://www.germany.info/thinktransatlantic for more information and find them on Facebook).
There will be many great events, a workshop, a film showing, a German lunch, and a daily information desk and students will have a chance to win great prizes.
Besides many events during the campus week students have a chance to participate in an essay and/or blog contest. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd W&J winners of the essay and blog contest will receive gift cards. The W&J winners will be entered in the Embassy's national contest.
The national winner's essay will be published in a renowned political magazine, featured on www.Germany.info and receive a financial reward. The most innovative, well-founded, and successful blog will be rewarded by the German Embassy in D.C.
